How To Enable Auto Enter (after scan) for Honeywell Mobile Computers

Step-by-Step Configuration Guide
1. Access the Settings Menu:
- Navigate to the App Drawer by swiping up from the home screen.
- Tap on the Settings icon (gear symbol).
2. Open Honeywell Settings:
- Scroll down and select Honeywell Settings.
3. Modify Data Processing Settings:
- Tap on Data Processing Settings.
- Select Wedge as keys value and add
13
to the existing values (e.g.,9, 10, 13
), then tap OK. - Tap on Suffix and input the hexadecimal value for a carriage return:
\x0D
, then tap OK.
These settings will be applied immediately, enabling the auto-enter function after each scan.
Verifying the Auto Enter Function
After completing setup, test your scanner:
- Scan a barcode into any open text field (e.g., Notes or browser URL bar).
- Confirm that the cursor automatically moves to a new line or submits the field.
- If not, double-check the wedge and suffix settings.
