Zebra MC9200

The MC9200 is part of Zebra's long-running MC9000 series.  The MC9200 still offers 1D, 2D and Lorax (extended-range) internal scan engines, but Zebra has added additionalscan engine options such as the long-range SE4600 imager (1D and 2D) and a DPM (direct parts marking) scanner.  If you want to ‘future proof’ your next device, you may want to consider the SE4600 scan engine in lieu of the Lorax as the SE4600 will support 2D scanning.  The MC9200 also comes certified to support 3rd party voice picking software and offers “push-to-talk” capability.  The unit is available with Windows® Embedded Compact 7.0 and Windows® Embedded Handheld 6.5.3.

The MC9200 will continue to support classic terminal emulations from Wavelink, Stay-Linked and others.  If you’re an AS/400 user, please check out Stay-Linked.  You won’t regret it.

With a drop spec of 6', the MC9200 is a rugged computer but not Zebra's most durable.  If you require the most rugged, consider Zebra's latest evolution in the MC9000 Series with the MC9300 Ultra-Rugged Mobile Computer.

The MC9200 has a backlit keyboard.  If your application requires stand along “function” keys (function keys 1-6), check out the XT15.
