Meraki AP MR55

The four radios on the MR55 all run concurrently:

• 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n/ax client access radio, 8x8:8 radio array
• 5 GHz 802.11a/n/ac/ax client access radio, 4x4:4 radio array
• 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz dual-band WIDS/WIPS, spectrum analysis, & location analytics radio
• 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio with Beacon and BLE scanning support

For efficient transmission of data, the MR55 provides a maximum of 5.9 Gbps aggregate frame rate with the concurrent 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz radios. It offers MU-MIMO and OFDMA for transmission to multiple clients, which is useful if your location uses multiple mobile devices. Furthermore, the MR55 is integrated with a multigigabit 1G/2.5G/5G Ethernet uplink that ensures maximum capacity for this high performance 802.11ax compatible access point.

With wireless security an ever-present concern, the MR55 is built to take on the challenge, giving you peace of mind for security and stability. It features a third radio dedicated to delivering 24x7 wireless security and RF analytics. It constantly monitors the local RF environment and adjusts RF usage to avoid interference. It also has a built-in Layer 7 firewall for further protection. Lastly, there is one-click guest isolation for guest access to Internet.

With all deployments, security updates, configurations, and more handled through the cloud-based Meraki Dashboard interface, this access point can be deployed at a remote location in a few minutes, even without on-site IT staff.
