With its ultra-rugged design, full keyboard and half screen, the Zebra VC8300 Vehicle Mount Computer is the Android replacement of the VH10. The VC8300 is ready to help you make the migration from Windows to Android as simple as possible. With Ivanti Velocity pre-loaded and pre-licensed, you can run 5250 or VT terminal emulation immediately. In addition, the VC8300 is backwards compatible with the VH10 vehicle mount. This eliminates any backend modification, required user training, or purchasing additional accessories becauses your VC8300 is ready to go right out of the box.
The VC8300 is equipped with ultra-rugged features to withstand even the harshest and most challenging environments. It has a seal rating of IP66, to totally protect it against dust and to protect it against strong jets of water (e.g. for use on shipdecks - limited ingress permitted). The 8-inch display is made of Corning Gorilla glass with air gap while still capturing the highest possible display resolution and brightness to ensure easy viewing in any lighting condition. The capacitive touch screen is easy to use, even with gloves.
The freezer grade model of the VC8300 takes the ultra-rugged features up a notch higher with features such as internal heaters, smart temperature sensors that automatically control the heaters and heating speed, and an elastomeric keyboard that works despite icing. In addition, the VC8300 is made with a flat surface and drainage holes to avoid icing on the front.
To ensure exceptional performance, the VC8300 has an ultra-powerful 8-core processor and up to eight times the RAM and 32 times the Flash memory of prior generation devices. Its memory also lasts 10 times longer through an advanced memory architecture. The keyboard is backlit, full alphanumeric, and field replaceable. Users can choose between QWERTY or AZERTY formats.
